Company Matching Gift Programs

If your company has a matching gift program for employees and/or retirees, please enclose the company form with your monetary charitable donation to West Catholic so we can have your company increase your gift to West. If you choose to donate online to West, please just click on Annual Appeal or Capital Campaign. Both of these Campaigns also provide instructions for Company Matching Gift programs.

Commerce Bank Affinity Program

Please become part of Commerce Bank's Affinity Program and by doing so raise money for West Catholic! Commerce Bank will donate money to West Catholic based on a percentage of the average balance of West Alumni, Alumnae and Friends of West with Commerce Bank Affinity Program accounts. Just stop by a Commerce Bank Branch and open an account (i.e. checking, savings, money market certificates of deposit and retirement accounts qualify) and request your account(s) balances be part of the Commerce Affinity Banking Program for West Catholic High School (AIM #03-014-01-02).

Existing Commerce Bank customers also need to stop by your bank branch to have your Commerce accounts added to the Affinity Program. Anyone not in a State where Commerce Bank branches are located: (i.e. PA, NJ, DE, NY & D.C.), plus any Commerce Bank questions about this Affinity Program with West Catholic which your branch may not be able to address, should contact Ms. Mary Stitt, Branch Manager, Commerce Bank University City Branch at 215-387-1000.

One Cause Internet Shopping Rebate Program

If you shop on the Internet, please visit West's ONE CAUSE page. Just proceed to shop from any of the well known merchants, and a rebate of your total purchase will be made directly to West Catholic.

Shop Target Stores Using the School Fundraising Program

Apply for a "Target Visa Credit Card" or a "Target Store Credit Card," in person at a Target store or on-line, and Target will donate directly to West Catholic an amount equal to 1% of purchases made at a Target store or at target.com; and 1/2% of purchases made elsewhere.

Planned Giving

Please consider designating West Catholic as a recipient of a major personal gift in the future. Such deferred giving methods include: Charitable Remainder Trusts (CRT), Life Insurance  Policies, Stocks & Appreciated Securities, Annuities and other Bequests by Will such as Cash, Securities or other Property designating West Catholic High School as Beneficiary. Honor/Memorial Donations

You can donate individually or collectively to West Catholic to memorialize and/or honor a loved one, classmate or family. Please consider West Catholic High School as a worthwhile charity to designate for receipt of contributions in memory of deceased family members, Alumni and Alumnae. If a West Catholic Alumnus or Alumna passes away, please notify the West Catholic Development Office so that we will include that loyal West Alum’s Name and Class Year in our next “WestNotes” Newsletter.

Class Reunions

The West Catholic Development Office is very interested in learning about all scheduled Class Reunions, and we can assist your reunion organizers with lists of Classmates names and  addresses, possible reunion sites to consider, promotional items to sell at your class reunion, etc. A Class Reunion Donation to West Catholic High School is a great way to demonstrate school loyalty, as well as to contribute to the future growth of West Catholic.

Merchant Advertising at New West Catholic Baseball/Softball Field

West Catholic is seeking merchants, companies, large corporations to advertise in 2009 at Sunoco Field located a few blocks from West Catholic High School at 46th Street and Fairmount Avenue. Sign Ad Packages start at $200 for a one year multi-name sign, and range from $600 to $1,000 for a one year single-name sign. Discounted Two Year sign packages are also available. Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credits

The PACommonwealth gives businesses (CCorporations) tax breaks for contributions made to primary and secondary schools, including West Catholic. This tax credit program involves companies making one or two year donations (2 yrs. is much more favorable), with a maximum tax credit of $100,000 annually. Superfresh School Partnership

Did you know the groceries you buy can also be used to support West Catholic? Every $1 spent at Superfresh can earn 1 point for West Catholic. Just stop in at Superfresh and fill out a short enrollment form, designating West Catholic HS as your designated school. The school with the most points at the end of each semester gets the largest share of the funds. To enroll, you must also be a member of Club Superfresh. Shop MSC

You can shop at the Web site http://www.buymsc.com using the code, WEST, and 20% of the purchase will go to West Catholic. Merchandise Service Company sells novelty items, which may be of particular interest during the holiday season. MSC offers purchase rebates, similar to the 20% rebate to WEST, to other schools and non-profit organizations in the Delaware Valley area.
