Need Based Financial Aid

West Catholic provides assistance to students and families in need through the following sources:

  1. The Friends of West Catholic: an application must be submitted to the school by the deadline to be considered for this grant.  The current year's W2 and 1040 must accompany the application.  The forms are available in the Development Office at West Catholic after January 15th.
  2. TAP Program: an application and nonrefundable fee must be submitted to the Archdiocese of Philadelphia in order to be considered for financial aid from TAP.  The current year's W2 and 1040 must accompany the application.  If applications are not received at the Archdiocese by the deadline, they will not be considered for any aid.  The forms are available in the Development Office at West Catholic after January 15th.  West Catholic has no input on who will receive aid from TAP.
  3. Charles Ellis: is available to a single parent of a daughter only.  Applications are available in the Development Office at West Catholic after January 15th.  All guidelines for this grant are listed in the application and must be adhered to.  Ellis will notify you if you have been awarded a grant.
  4. BLOCS -- Business Leaders for Catholic Schools: applications for this grant are available in the Development Office at West Catholic after January 15th.  BLOCS helps finance the Catholic education of families that have more than one child in a Catholic High School or are not eligible for TAP.

SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION TO ANY OF THE ABOVE RESOURCES DOES NOT GUARANTEE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE WILL BE AWARDED.

Grants and Scholarships from any source MAY NOT exceed 80% of the Catholic Tuition, unless the scholarship is a full academic scholarship.
